Milton H. Greene
  • Milton H. Greene met Judy Garland in 1951 and stood by her through both good times and rough times. He photographed her in his studio, live at Carnegie Hall and at The Palace. In her comeback performance at the Palace, she received the cold shoulder from the press. Milton, using his power of persuasion, convinced his editors at _Life Magazine_ to lead with it. Judy got the cover and 8 page feature. Milton took this particular photograph of Judy in New York City in 1963. With her arms folded on a green pillow, she lays her head down as Milton captures the photograph.Pin_it_button
